Electronic Ignition
For quite a number of years we were unconvinced of the values of aftermarket electronic ignition systems. They were fairly expensive, yet surprisingly unreliable, but the technology has matured over the past 20 years and it is now time to look again at the various options. The newer systems are reliable, and the old distributors have x years extra wear on them.
The systems we offer are replacement distributors using readily available Bosch service parts which houses an internal electronic ignition module and these are available in two forms – one version with is pre-programmed with the various advance curved used by that particular model range, and this is selected with a small rotary selector, or alternatively a programmable version that is easily tuned with a Windows computer and a standard USB cable. We can pre-programme as well if required, although in some cases further benefits may be found – but a good starting point
- Fulvia, all engine sizes including 1300 & 1600.
- Flavia / 2000 – (including special version for 2000HF with D-Jetronic fuel injection)
- Flaminia
- Aurelia
- Montecarlo and other Fiat / Lancia twin cam applications with camshaft skew gear driven distributors.

An additional benefit of this system, is that because the distributor is new, there is no wear or excessive play in the distributor.
No major modifications are required other than wiring and the original distributor can be re-fitted at any time.
