We had a Fulvia in recently for a "while-you-wait" CV boot change and to resolve a handbrake that was not releasing properly. Turns out it wasn't the handbrake at all, but a partially seized rear brake caliper.
Because it didn't retract there was a lot of brake drag, resulting in a rather worn out brake pad. I don't think it would have done any more Miles before damaging the disc or worse.
