Shipping to the USA
Earlier this year President Trump decided to levy import tariffs on all shipments coming into the USA, including those from islands populated mostly by penguins.
These tariffs are now coming into effect.
For items shipped to the USA using one of Royal Mail's services, the tariff will be collected up front by Royal Mail as part of the shipping cost, which will hopefully streamline the process to ensure your goods pass through American customs without delay.
Until the online shop software catches up, we will have to manually alter the shipping cost if Air Mail services is chosen to add the relevent tariff to the shipping cost.
We understand that other shipping services such as Fedex or UPS are collecting the tariff from the customer before delivery - effectively normal service - and we offer those services as well if needed.
When we receive an enquiry from the US we will normally give several shipping options, and whilst Royal Mail (delivered by US Postal) is usually the cheapest option, we have the option for Fedex, UPS, DHL as well.
