Be careful when undoing your filler neck ring nut - some are plastic and are very brittle. We recommend using a strap style oil filter wrench to grip the nut evenly, and not to try using a C spanner. The metal nuts are, usually, more resilient, but in either case to fit a new nut will require the neck to be cut and re-welded.
